Jieyu Zheng

PhD Candidate in Neurobiology, Caltech

I am a PhD candidate in the Neurobiology program at the California Institute of Technology, advised by Prof. Markus Meister. My research focuses on cognitive flexibility, learning, and memory, with particular interest in the role of neocortex and hippocampus in these functions.

Besides research, I teach, write, create art, and photograph the wildlife around the globe.

Announcement I am seeking postdoctoral positions starting in 2027 to continue studying behavioral neuroscience. If you're a theory/computation or neuroethology lab looking for an ethologist who can whisper to animals and bring out their best behaviors, let's connect.
